The Ronna Sweater is a raglan sweater knitted using a sentence pattern. It is knitted top-down from the neck, so there are no seams and you can adjust the length of the body and sleeves as you knit.
This pattern can be knitted using a combination of basic techniques, including finger cast-on and hem ties, making it an easy piece to tackle even for those knitting a sweater for the first time.
The name comes from Lonna, a small Finnish island surrounded by calm seas. The shape is clean and simple so that even beginners can enjoy knitting. By knitting kid mohair in a low gauge, it has a soft, light, and gentle feel.

[About raglan sweaters]
A raglan sweater has four lines running from the neck to the bottom of the sleeves. These are called "raglan lines" and are the boundaries between the body and the sleeves. In this pattern, you will increase stitches on both sides of the raglan lines as you knit.
[Steps for knitting a sweater from the top down]
1. Start knitting from the neckline and knit the yoke while increasing stitches.
2. Separate the yoke into the body and sleeves and let the sleeves rest.
3. Connect the front and back pieces in a loop and knit to the hem.
4. Connect the rested sleeves and underarm gussets to the loop and knit up to the cuff.

The Ronna sweater uses four strands of ITORICOT's original yarn, "1/13 FLUORITE." It contains 35% rare kid mohair, giving it a smooth and soft feel. It's available in a total of 41 colors! Enjoy wearing it in a single color or combining several colors. Because of its simple silhouette, the impression of the outfit changes depending on how you layer the colors.
We also offer the "FLUORITE MIX 3.2" series, which uses four strands of yarn in combinations selected by ITORICOT to suggest color combinations. The yarn comes pre-pulled into four strands, so you can start knitting right away.
For more information, please see the product pages for " 1/13 FLUORITE " and " FLUORITE MIX 3.2 ."

The key to knitting with industrial yarns!
The second stitch is sweeter! ...Knit loose and fluffy!
Industrial yarns are waxed to make them easier to knit with machines, and they are designed to be washed at the end of the process, so they may have oil or solvents on them.
By washing at the appropriate temperature, dirt is removed and the fibers become fluffy, so the key is to knit a bit loosely (softly).
Be sure to knit a swatch for testing!
Since wool and similar fibers tend to shrink, it's important to knit a swatch and calculate the shrinkage rate.
For items with longer fibers, gently pressing them while washing will enhance the texture.
How to wash industrial yarns at home
Iron
First, the finishing iron and steam are applied to the stitch.
Pre-washing
Soak in hot water (no detergent) for about 15 minutes at 40°C or less
Washing
(detergent wash, neutral detergent Emaar, etc.) Wash as desired, or if you want to fluff out the yarn, wash it with a leftover cloth or other material and rub it to make it fluffier.
Rinsing
Change the hot water and rinse until the water is clean.
Finishing touches
Use fabric softener if desired. Use of fabric softener will further improve the texture.
Dehydration
If using a washing machine, place in a net for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Light towel drying is also acceptable.
Dryness
We recommend drying flat in the shade.
Steam iron
Organize shapes and stitch nicely.
