About Tsubomi Socks

This is an original toe-up sock pattern that values the unique expression and structure characteristic of designer ande Nobu.

The leg features a three-dimensional pattern reminiscent of small buds slowly blooming into flowers. The design evokes a natural, sheep-filled landscape.

The pattern is rhythmic to knit, and the length can be adjusted to fit your foot size and preference. Simple yet expressive, these socks are perfect for everyday wear.

This pattern was created with input on the shape and fit of the socks from Mr. Kasagi of KASAGI, who lives with sheep at the foot of Mt. Sanbe in Shimane Prefecture and continues to create things while working with wool.

Comment from ande Nobu

I hope you will knit these socks imagining what kind of flowers will bloom at the end of the straight stems.

The bud pattern is knitted while increasing and decreasing stitches. The buds connected to the stem, extending upwards from the heel, are a key feature.

Discovering English patterns made knitting even more enjoyable, and I grew to love knitting even more. I'm excited by the expanding world created with needles and yarn ♡ Wonderful connections have been made through the written pattern sock workshops.
