-About factory yarn-

<Notes on industrial yarn>

The yarns sold at ITORICOT are

Basically, there is a surplus in factories all over Japan.

This is leftover thread from the factory.

Knitwear produced in Japan is of high quality,

And the thread used is of very high quality.

Since it is machine knitted, it contains many fine threads.

Many of these items are not available at craft stores.

It's very nice depending on how you use it.

I think I can create a work.

Since this is leftover yarn from production, do you have any in stock?

Are there any other colors? People often ask.

There is a possibility that the same item may appear again at some point, but this is generally not the case.

If you have something you want to knit, add

Since it is difficult to obtain, we recommend that you purchase all the items at once.

I highly recommend it.

<Three points to enjoy knitting with industrial yarn!>

■(1) Be sweet the first time!

Industrial yarn is designed to be washed at the end, and so oils and solvents are present in the yarn during the spinning process.
It dissolves in water and fluffy fibers come out, so the key is to braid it a little loosely.

■ (2) Always knit a swatch for testing purposes.

Wool and other materials will always shrink, so knit a swatch and calculate the shrinkage rate.

■(3) Wash items with long pile thoroughly.

<Recommended needle sizes based on size>

It will vary depending on how tight your hands are and the length of the fabric. Be sure to knit a swatch and adjust it!

<How to wash industrial yarn at home>

Does washing industrial yarn seem difficult?

If you're using it for the first time, you might wonder if the texture will come out properly.

However, being able to knit with industrial yarns makes knitting even more fun.

Please give it a try.

① Iron

First, finish with an iron, using steam to smooth out the grain.

②Pre-wash (no detergent)

Soak in water below 40 degrees for about 15 minutes.

③ Main wash (detergent wash, neutral detergent Emeral, etc.)

You can scrub it if you like, or if you want to blow the fuzz out, wash it with some leftover fabric and rub it to remove the fuzz.

④ Rinse

Change the water and rinse until the dirt is gone.

⑤ (Optional) Fabric softener

If you care about texture, add fabric softener now.

⑥ Dehydration

If using a washing machine, place in a laundry net and wash for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
It's ok to lightly towel dry.

⑦ Drying

We recommend drying flat in the shade.

⑧Steam iron

Adjust the shape and eyes.

The fluffiness will change depending on the knitting density, washing time and temperature.
